ourselves searching nationwide for anyone willing to part with their treasured Storyteller ornaments so that we can reclaim one of the few things in our childhood that represented home and holiday.
We had always wished for her gift of creation so that we could complete  our own collections.  It was this wish that prompted us to pick up our needles and fabric and begin designing and producing our very own characters for ourselves and for friends who had learned of Iaulandas' legend but had not been lucky enough to know her and acquire any of her designs for themselves.  Our handmade characters come to you already loved-each stitch hand done.To date, your response has been overwhelming and we are thrilled to resume full production on all characters in exclusive limited editions.  Our designs are our own, but Iaulanda's spirit lives within each and every stitch. We are proud to continue a legacy and hope to be a part of your holiday traditions for years to come.
No matter what our age, there are a few holiday traditions that make your heart stop, bring a tear to you eye and give your heart a true feeling of nostalgia. From early 1965, our Aunt Iaulanda (pronounced Yolaunda) designed and produced storybook character felt Christmas ornaments -each by hand-each special and enchanting to young and old alike. My favorite  childhood memories are of my sister Kim and I helping Iaulanda create and assemble these special creations to be sold to homes across  the nation ourselves searching  Iaulanda's passing, we have and prestigious boutiques and exclusive department stores of the day. (Marshall Fields and Fredrick Nelson always eager buyers). Production on the characters was done on a piecework basis and in the latter years,  a team of up to 7 folks were employed in Iaulandas home workshop. We were proud and privileged to be a part of that elite group of artisans. Our very first paychecks boasted Iaulandas signature and there was great satisfaction knowing our hard work had met her approval. Kim and I were left orphans at an early age and Iaulanda was the only solid foundation for  a stable home environment we really ever knew. To this day, long after we found
